First and foremost, it's essential to have a solid foundation for your product, and that means choosing the correct programming language. Our main languages of choice for application development are JavaScript (Utilising TypeScript) and C#. These languages provide a robust structure for our code, making it easier to build and maintain your application. .NET Core

One key technology we use at Remote is .NET Core, a powerful framework for building web and mobile applications. It's fast, flexible, and scalable, making it an excellent choice for businesses of all sizes. .NET Core is a free and open-source software framework developed by Microsoft, which means you can trust it for your most important projects.

Umbraco

Umbraco is a flexible and cost-effective open-source content management system (CMS) we use for building websites and applications at Remote. It’s renowned for its flexibility and ease of use and loved by developers for its intuitive editing experience and seamless integrations.

Umbraco unlocks a world of opportunities for your website - and your business. It’s built using NET Core, which is cross-platform. By using  Umbraco Headless CMS - a configuration of Umbraco that is designed to be run on a separate server from the front end of the website. We build websites and digital properties that can run on a variety of platforms and devices and can be integrated with other .NET Core applications and services.

JavaScript

We also make use of ReactJS and React Native. ReactJS is a JavaScript library which allows us to build front ends that are efficient and easy to use. An open-source framework developed by Facebook, it's one of the most popular libraries for building web and mobile applications. Known for its ability to create highly interactive and responsive interfaces. It's also used by companies like Netflix, Dropbox, and Airbnb.

React Native is an excellent option for digital products that require a seamless and native mobile experience. This means you can create a single codebase for iOS and Android, saving you time and resources. 

In addition to these core tools, there are also a ton of other resources and platforms available to help us build a digital product. For example, we use a project management tool called DevOps which is integrated with our development pipelines to keep track of tasks and progress.

We also use a design tool called Figma to create wireframes and prototypes and design the user interface before development starts.
