01 — JEANNIE MCGILLIVRAY
CO-FOUNDER & CEO
Jeannie McGillivray
Jeannie brings the perspective of a founder who has spent more than 25 years building and leading a technology business. She co-founded Remote with Paul in 1999 and leads the studio as CEO, with a particular interest in how leadership and culture shape the way people work.
She created the Heart Leadership approach, co-authored A Woman’s Work and Legacy, and hosts the Changemaker Mindset podcast. Her work beyond Remote includes contributions to the Shropshire Economic Partnership and Midlands Engine Business Council, connecting her with the wider challenges facing business leaders.
Jeannie is also co-founder and CEO of Autm. She and Paul are building an AI operational intelligence platform that connects a business’s systems and knowledge. Her focus is practical: give people the context and support to spend less time firefighting and more time leading.
02 — PAUL MCGILLIVRAY
CO-FOUNDER & CTO
Paul McGillivray
Paul’s curiosity is about how things connect: people, knowledge, decisions and the software that holds an organisation together. As Remote’s co-founder and CTO, he has spent 27 years helping teams turn complicated operational challenges into systems they can rely on, including projects for Sony, Volkswagen Group and Volvo.
He is the author of Scope to Scale and creator of the SCOPE framework. The book brings together the thinking behind that work: understand the business, find the constraint, test the assumptions and build in useful stages. He also shares those ideas as a speaker, including at TEDx.
Today, Paul is also co-founder and CTO of Autm, leading the development of AI that connects organisational knowledge and enables agents to work alongside people. His focus is making sophisticated technology understandable and useful, so leaders can make clearer decisions and teams have more room to do their best work.
